The Spring 2016 student medical insurance waiver is available now through the deadline of January 6th. Please note, students with an approved waiver on file for the 2015-2016 academic year don’t need to fill out the Spring student medical insurance waiver. Click here to access the Spring 2016 waiver. Eligible students without an approved waiver on file will be automatically registered in the Aetna student medical insurance plan at a cost of $724, evaluated to the student s account.

West Virginia University s first priority is its own students. We want them to be happy, healthy, and powerful in and out of the classroom. So as to make certain that our students have access to the top quality healthcare they need, when they need it, as well as a step to safeguard them from top, sudden healthcare expenses, all domestic students at West Virginia University and WVU Tech, enrolled in 6 or more credit hours along with international students enrolled in a more credit hours are required to take health insurance coverage. Our Student Health Advisory Committee made with excellent care this decision. Students who don’t have an approved waiver on file for the academic year are registered in the WVU -.

Please remember to bring a hard copy of your insurance card with you when looking for services in any other healthcare provider or WVU Student Health. Your insurance policy information will be required by Healthcare providers before receiving treatment. The WVU Student Insurance Office doesn’t discuss your health insurance policy information such as WVU Student Health, with some other healthcare suppliers.

Please notethat students enrolled in Potomac State College of WVU are exempt from the insurance plan, aren’t eligible for the WVU health insurance plan and don’t need to fill out the student medical insurance waiver.
